UNIFORM REGULATIONS - YEARS 7 – 11
FROM SEPTEMBER 2011
WINTER UNIFORM (October Half Term – Easter)
Plaid skirt*
TWGGS logo jumper.
Plaid tie.
Plain white school shirt (loose or fitted). Worn tucked in.
Opaque black or navy tights or white, black or navy socks.
Low-heeled black shoes.
Scarves (black, dark grey, navy or plaid). Must not be worn in school.
Optional
School uniform trousers
SUMMER UNIFORM (Easter – October Half Term)
The full winter uniform may be worn all year round (not trousers)
OR
The blouse and tie may be replaced by a short sleeved, white open-necked blouse revere collar, to be
tucked in.
OR
Plaid summer dress*
Opaque black or navy tights or white, black or navy socks.
Low-heeled black shoes.
Sheer flesh coloured tights are not permitted.
* Skirt/Dress must be worn as supplied without alterations to style and the skirt must not be worn rolled up.
When an outdoor coat is necessary, it must be plain black, navy or grey. Denim, leather or plastic coats may not be worn. Coats should not be worn around the school. Full uniform must be worn to and from school as well as in school.
Uniform must be kept in good repair, and look presentable at all times.
ALL ITEMS OF UNIFORM MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED
OTHER ITEMS
Hair clips, slides, scrunchy navy / brown / black - all to be of a plain style
Necklace none, except small religious symbol on a plain thin gold/silver chain.
Piercings One small earring may be worn in the lobe of each ear. This must be of gold or silver colour and may be either a small stud or an earring that lies against the lobe; no additional earrings or piercings are allowed.
Badges School Centenary, prefect/captain
Duke of Edinburgh Award
Makeup If makeup is worn, it should be minimal/not noticeable. Nail varnish is not permitted. No extreme hairstyles or colours.

ALL P.E. KIT MUST BE CLEARLY NAMED INSIDE AND WITH EMBROIDERED INITIALS ON THE OUTSIDE
On the front of the girls’ shirts, sweatshirts, skorts, shorts etc. her initials should be embroidered.
Initials should also be marked on the heel of training shoes.
The full name, preferably using a name tag, should be sewn inside all garments.
UNIFORM REGULATIONS – SIXTH FORM
There is no uniform for the Sixth Form, but girls are expected to dress appropriately and smartly for school.
Sportswear or beach clothes are not allowed.

Members of choir and orchestra will need a white blouse and dark skirt.
Sports team members will need to buy team kit.
