ONLINE OR SCHOOL SHOP?
Simmonds offer two options for purchasing school uniform at your convenience; these include online shopping and shopping at the school shop.

NEW ENTRANTS TO VINEHALL SCHOOL
For reasons of sizing, advice on quantities and care labels, and in order to avoid the need for returns, we recommend that uniform for new entrants is purchased from the school shop which is located within the school buildings close to reception.
During back to school an appointments system operates for the purchase of uniform. Please book your appointment with the Tunbridge Wells branch of Simmonds as staff are available to take your calls 6 days a week 01892 510123.
Simmonds provide the uniform and are responsible for operating the shop. The school uniform shop is managed by Elizabeth Root and is open for business during term time on Monday and Friday between 8.00am and 9.00am and on Wednesday between 3.00pm and 4.30pm.
During the summer holidays the shop opening times vary and details of these opening times can be obtained from the uniform shop or school reception.

SHOPPING ONLINE
Shopping online is available to customers 24hours/day, 365 days/year.

2.  Towels and all items of bedding remain at school at the end of term so that beds can be ready for your child’s return.

3.  Please do not send tuck to school.  Boarders may buy tuck weekly at school and may have their own jam or spread (not Golden Syrup!) to eat at breakfast and supper.  Please mark jars clearly.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1.  The number of items required on the Uniform List is required for boarders.  Parents of day children may adapt the quantity of uniform they buy to suit their laundry arrangements.

Parents are particularly asked:

2.  To make sure that all clothing is marked with woven name tapes and in good repair.  The Matrons cannot be responsible for unmarked items.

3.  To sew STRONG loops (thick tape or elastic) onto all sports and outdoor wear, as indicated on the uniform list.  A charge will be made if clothing is not marked or looped.  Please see diagram as to where the name tapes should be sewn.

4.  To ensure that boots and shoes are very clearly marked with the child’s school number.  Gym shoes, trainers, Wellingtons and football/hockey boots should be marked in permanent black or silver ink on the outside, with the name inside.

5.  To have your child’s pen and watch engraved.  Pencil case equipment should also be clearly named.

6.  To ensure that your son has neat hair and has visited the hairdresser before term begins and that the style is traditional, off the collar and not extreme.  A further visit at half term is strongly recommended.  Hair dye is strictly not allowed.  Weekly checks for head lice are essential!

7.  Boys are permitted to wear a crucifix and chain.  Other jewellery is not allowed.
